Bunnies and hares are different animals that are often confused by many people. The domestic rabbits are usually smaller and have shorter ears than those of wild hares. Hares are also faster and are born with fur and open eyes, in contrast to bunnies, which are born naked and blind.

Rabbits eat grass, hay, and leafy greens,s just to name a few. Rabbits have a variety of communicative behaviors, rs including thumping their hind legs when danger is near, purring in a soft grinding of their teeth when content or even joyous binky jumps- those cute leaps and twists in the air. They possess a strange digestive system that undertakes a process known as cecotrophy, in which they feed on a special form of their droppings known as cecotropes to digest their food completely and extract nutrients.

In the wild, rabbits live in colonies or warrens. They are also social animals and groom one another, which strengthens their social bonds. Their powerful hind feet enable them to have high-speed jumps, and their speed can help them n runaway from their predators. They can jump 3 feet in the air and 10 feet in length.

Rabbits have eyes on the sides of their heads, which gives them a wide field of vision to spot predators. They do have one small blind spot in front of their noses, however. Rabbits reproduce very quickly, which is why people now recognize them as icons of fertility and spring. A female rabbit, which is termed a doe, may have more than one litter annually. And each litter consists of a few babies, termed kits or kittens.
