The Boy Who Cried Wolf

He would rather play and have fun with his friends. The boy asked his father if the sheep couldn’t watch out for themselves. He told his father that all the sheep knew how to do was eat grass and bleat, and after that, there wasn’t much that they did.

However, his father told him that looking over the sheep was an important job and he must always look out for the wolf just in case he comes sneakily, taking one of the sheep. During this time, the boy would sit and watch the sheep closely.

The boy wasn’t allowed to rest, and he was kept awake. He watched the sheep for a while but eventually grew bored. He wished the wolf would appear to alleviate his boredom.

The boy longed for the arrival of the wolf so that this would give him something to do. The naughty child chose to deceive the villagers. After seeing a wolf approaching, the boy hurried to the town to alert those who lived there.

The boy screamed WOLF and everyone in the village grabbed their weapons which included pitchforks, sticks, and pins and they all ran to the fields. With their weapons, the villagers all ran to chase the wolf away.

When they got to the fields, the villagers found out that everywhere was peaceful. There was no commotion and the lambs were eating the grass and moving around as usual. The boy then called them idiots and laughed at them.

As the boy was laughing, he looked around and saw that no one was laughing with him. Most of the villagers were angry and they all mumbled and left. The blacksmith villager laughed and was very angry, yelling at the boy.

The boy thought that the man didn’t know what humor was and that was why he couldn’t laugh at his joke. The child repeated the same trick a week later. However, this time he put on a better act. The boy poured red paint on his arm.

The boy fooled the blacksmith and acted as if he had been bitten by a wolf. After the last prank that the boy pulled, the blacksmith hasn’t let his guard down. The villagers all rushed to the field to assist the young kid after hearing him scream.

When they reached the field, they were annoyed to find that the boy had tricked them again. The boy annoyed many villagers and even the blacksmith, getting annoyed at him in return. After watching the sheep for the day, he went home to meet his father.

His father was angry at him and his father informed him that he had a foolish sense of humor. However, the boy thought that his prank was funny. Another week came by and the boy was back to the fields to watch over the sheep.

The boy lay on the grass to watch over the sheep as he usually does. It was almost dark, and the sun was lowering. The boy would spend his night out in the forest because he still had to watch over the flock of sheep.

Suddenly his dog began barking. This sound made the flock of sheep run in fear and they were bleating like crazy animals. The only animal that didn’t bleat was the wolf among the flock of sheep. The wolf had taken a little lamb.

The boy shouted that a wolf was amongst the flock of sheep, but this time no one listened to him. None of the villagers came to help the boy because they thought that this was his usual prank. The boy called even out for the blacksmith but he didn’t show up to help the boy.

The villagers went on with their business and no one bothered to help the boy. The boy called out to the blacksmith that the wolf had arrived this time. However, the blacksmith just carried on with his daily life. No one believed him because he had played several pranks on them. No one rescued the youngster, even after he told the truth.
