The farmer and the well story starts with a farmer in a faraway village. The farmer’s name was Raj, and he had just bought a farm in a village. One year, there was a drought in the village and there wasn’t any water. Anywhere else could get water.

There was no river, pond, or even a canal for water. This worried the villagers, and they worried about how they would get water for their crops. Meanwhile, there was a well right next to Raj’s farm, but the well belonged to his neighbor farmer Tim.
In order to get water for his farm, Raj approached his neighbor, Tim, to ask him to sell the well to him so that he could use the water in the well for his crops. Being the greedy farmer that he was, Tim told Raj that he would sell his well to Raj.
However, once he has sold the well, Raj couldn’t return. Tim then decided to sell the well to Raj because the well according to him was no use for him anymore. And so he sold the well to Raj. The following day when Raj went to his farm, he planned to take water form the well he had just bought.
However, when he got to the well, he was surprised to find Tim there. Tim stopped Raj from taking water from the well. He told Raj that he only sold him the well and not the water in it. Tim then told Raj that if he wanted water, he would have to pay for the water in the well.
Raj felt cheated, and so he decided to approach the authorities for help. The following day, Raj went to meet the king to help him with his problem.
When this was heard by the authorities, they were shocked. Akbar then transferred the case, and when he heard the story, he said that he would help Raj to solve his problem and get justice. The following day, Akbar went along with Raj to Tim’s house.
Akbar told Raj to draw water from the well, and as they were drawing water from the well, Tim appeared and stopped them. He informed them that he only sold the well to Raj and not the water in the well. Tim told Akbar that if Raj wanted to take the water from the well, then he had to pay extra for it.
Akbar was a smart man, and he immediately thought of a solution. He then told Tim that if the water truly belonged to him, then he must find a way to remove all the water from the well since the well belonged to Raj. Akbar told Tim that the well belonged to Raj and he wanted it without water in it.
Akbar then gave Tim three days to remove all the water from the well. If he were unable to do that, he would have to pay a penalty. Tim realized he was trapped, knowing that it was impossible to remove water from the well.
Tim had no choice but to agree to allow Raj to fetch water from the well. Akbar then gave a small fine to Tim to teach others a lesson, not to think of conning others.
