The Farmer’s story is a classic children’s story. This story starts with a farmer who owned large cornfields. In the whole village, the man grew some of the best corn. Each year, the man would win the first prize for having the best corn in the state.
In the late summer, everyone in their town would come to taste some of his delicious corn. One fine day, a news reporter visited the man’s field to taste some of his corn. He also wants to learn about the secret of his secret to why his corn was so delicious.
The farmer had a habit of sharing some of his best producing seeds with some of the farmers in the town. The reporter took notice of this before he could interview the farmer. When it was time for the reporter to interview the man he had some strong questions prepared for the man.
The reporter asked the farmer why he shared some of his best seeds with his neighbors when he knew that the other farmers would also enter the competition for the best corn in the town. The news reporter was just curious why the farmer used this method.
Before answering the reporter, the farmer took a long breath before replying to the reporter. The farmer told the reporter that during the seasons, the wind gets stronger and it blows over the fields. This causes the pollen from the ripped corn to get carried from field to field.
The farmer explained to the reporter that one of the most important things to remember is that if his neighbors produce low-quality corn, then he would also have low-quality corn because of cross-pollination. Because of this, if he wanted to grow quality corn, he must help his neighbors to grow good corn.
When the reporter listened to the farmer’s explanation he realized some things which include that in order to live a purposeful life we must know the importance of improving the lives of other people.
