The tale of the greedy crow has been told several times and it is a classic children’s tale. The crow was very greedy and he never minded his own business. The other animals in the forest disliked the crow for one of the reasons.
The crow was flying through the jungle one fateful day when he noticed something. He swiftly used his beak to seize a chunk of flesh that he had discovered. After picking the meat with his beak, the bird flew off and went to the top of his tree.
When the crow was about to eat the meat, he saw his friend Mira. She was a little bird with a dead anima in her possession. The crow then asked Mira where she got the dead animal she was carrying. However, he got no answer from Mira. She ignored his question.
Furious that Mira didn’t answer him, the crow shouted and asked her to stop and give him a piece of her dead animal. However, Mira didn’t answer him again. The crow even threatened to take the whole meat and leave nothing for her. Still, she ignored him.
She flew off pretending that she didn’t hear anything he was talking about. The crow felt angry and his pride was hurt. The crow was angry and he swore that he would take the meat from her. So he flew off to chase after Mira, however she beat him.
Mira might be smaller in size, but, she was much faster than the crow. While he was busy chasing Mira, the crow forgot the piece of meat that he left on the tree. No one left the piece of meat in the tree, ignoring it.
As the crow chased after Mira, a hawk who was flying by saw the piece of meat on the tree and he took it. The hawk saw the crow chasing Mira and he understood the situation right away. So, he took the piece of meat and he flew off.
Mira outran the crow, who had chased her for hours, growing tired. She might be small, but she was much faster than him. Finally, the crow gave up chasing Mira and he went back to his tree. When he reached his tree, the piece of meat was no longer there.
He was disappointed and angry to find that his meat was no longer there. Seeing the crow disappointed, the hawk who took the meat earlier saw him and he told him that he was the one who took the meat from the tree. The hawk told the crow that he was sorry that he had lost his meat. Seeing the situation, the crow realized the price for his greediness.
