The story of the humble man and his loyal dog is an interesting children’s tale. It begins with a nice and humble couple, Mr and Mrs Jones, who lived in a simple village. The couple had no children of their own; instead, they took good care of a dog.

Mr jones and his wife owned a dog that they adored. The dog was very loyal to them and never left their side. This couple also had a neighbor who happened to be another young couple who were jealous of the Jones family.
One particular day, the dog was digging the ground in the garden when he found something. He then went to meet the couple who rushed to see what the dog was barking at. When the dog pointed at something in the ground, the couple started digging.
After the digging, the couple were shocked to find a pot filled with gold coins buried under the ground. The couple was delighted to find such a treasure in their garden, and it was all thanks to their dog. Mr. and Mrs. Jones kept some of the coins to themselves, and they shared the rest of the coins with the rest of the villagers.
Hearing about how Mr and Mrs Jones found the pot of gold in their garden, the next door couple were jealous of them and they decided to hatch a wicked plan. The couple borrowed Mr and Mrs Jones’ dog in hopes that they would also find treasure in their garden.
However, while the dog was in their care, they didn’t treat the dog kindly. Each time the dog was unable to find any treasure, the couple would hit him and out of frustration they ended up killing the dog.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jones had a dream the same night his dog had passed away. In his dream, the dog told him everything that had happened at the other couple’s home. The dog then asked his owner to take his ashes and spread them on a tree, and see what happens next.
Mr. Jones went to his neighbor’s house to ask about his dog’s dead body. The man then gave his dog a befitting burial and took the ashes. Mr. Jones then spread his beloved dog’s ashes on the tree, just as the dog had described to him in his dream.
To Mr Jones’ surprise, the dead tree started to bloom with flowers and leaves. Soon after, the news spread around the village, and it reached the king. The king then invited the couple to his palace and asked them to show him their magic.
Mr and Mrs Jones did the same thing, and the miracle happened again. The king was delighted, and he rewarded the couple. Both Mr and Mrs Jons went back to their home in joy. When the next-door neighbor heard this, they were jealous again.
The couple stole Mr and Mrs Jones’ dog’s ashes and they took it to another village to perform the same miracle. Unfortunately, when the couple tried to use the ashes, nothing happened. The ashes only caused trouble for them.
The king and queen ordered their guards to beat the jealous couple. They left the palace with lots of bruises and they finally understood how wrong they were. The jealous couple then went to Mr and Mrs Jones to apologize for their wrong doings.
Mr and Mrs Jones forgave the couple and told them to live an honest and simple life. They also told the couple that only when they stopped being envious of other people would they be truly happy. After that, the jealous couple changed their ways. This concludes the story of he humble man and his loyal dog.
