The story of a stonecutter who was never satisfied begins with a stonecutter The stonecutter’s job was to hike through the mountains and then break off the slabs of rock. He would then carry the slabs back to the village. Although this work was very stressful, however, the stonecutter was very happy with his life.
The stonecutter was happy with his life and he had all that he needed. One day when the stonecutter was eating lunch, he looked down at the village and saw something that he had never seen before. The stonecutter saw the emperor.
Being the emperor seemed like a wonderful idea to the stonecutter. He thought that if he were the emperor, he wouldn’t have to do such strenuous work. The man wouldn’t have to lift heavy stones or slabs of rock and he would have infinite funds. He also thought that he would have servants to do the work for him.
The stonecutter thought that this was the perfect life for him. As the stonecutter was sitting and eating his lunch. He wished for him to become the emperor. Wish after wish, the stonecutter never gave up until his wish came true.
Then the stonecutter suddenly became the emperor. He was excited and his life was going great. Whenever he was hungry, food would appear before him. Each time he was tired, his servant would fluff his pillow and make the bed he was going to sleep.
Whenever he was bored, his servant would entertain him. The emperor thought that life couldn’t get any better. In fact, he didn’t think things could get any better. However, one faithful day, he noticed something as he was walking through this field of crops. The crops were having a rough year and they all looked weak and fried from the scorching sun.
He then thought that the sun was annoying by shining down from the sky. He thought that the sun was scorching the earth and also burning his neck. Although the emperor was having a wonderful life, he was still thinking about what he wanted to do to the sun.
The more the emperor thought about what to do to the sun, the more the thought became a wish. So, the emperor wished and wished and then his wish came true. The emperor then became the sun and this made life great.
He was able to float around the sky and shine down upon the earth. For the emperor, life was great. As he was the sun, the emperor could help the plants grow on earth. Whenever people made him angry, he would send ultraviolet rays their way and also give them sunburn.
The emperor enjoyed shining down upon the people on earth. One faithful day when the sun was shining over his village, something happened. Something blocked the sun’s rays. There were huge shadows that appeared under him. He tried but he couldn’t get his rays through the clouds.
He wondered why this was happening and he started to think of what to do. As he was thinking, his thought became a wish and he wished and wished until he became the clouds. Then he became the clouds and this was great.
As he was a cloud, he was able to block all the sun’s rays from the earth. He could also change into any shape that he wanted and this amazed the village children. Making it rain was also his favorite activity. The cloud also loved seeing the plants grow bigger after the rain and he felt that he was important because he knew that life could not survive without water.
However, one day as he was floating in the sky, he was drifting in the direction that he hadn’t planned. He wondered what was happening and he wondered why couldn’t he float like this. Soon he wished that he could float like this and his wish came true.
Soon after he became the wind and he was able to move in any direction that he wanted. It was fun for him to push the clouds in whatever direction that he wanted. He could also blow off the trees and he had fun with this.
One day as he was passing through the air, he noticed that couldn’t pass through something. This was the mountain. Then he wished and wished until it became true and suddenly the wind became the mountain. He felt more powerful than before as he used rocks.
He was happy that nothing could pass through him and that only elite climbers could make it to the top of the mountain. For him life was perfect and he thought that it couldn’t be any better. However, as he was relaxing, he felt something tickle. He thought that as he was a mountain he was meant to be perfect.
He was annoyed at this and was wondering what was happening. Then he noticed that someone was breaking a chunk off of his rock. He then started thinking and his thought became a wish. Suddenly he was a stonecutter again.
The man was back to his initial life and he was breaking stones and then carrying them down to the village. From that day onward, he never wished again. He was happy with his life and never grumbled about anything.
