The story of the King’s painting starts long ago in a flourishing kingdom. Ruled by a brave and clever king, the kingdom thrived and everyone showed their admiration for the king. The king had just and eye and a leg, still he didn’t let that stop him from becoming one of the best kings that the people will remember for decades.

Despite his shortcomings, the king ruled the kingdom with bravery and wisdom and everyone of his subject lived a happy life under his reign. One fine day, the king was strolling along the corridors of his palace when he came across a painting that caught his eye.
The painting was of one of his ancestors. The king imagined that someday, his children would also walk down these same corridors and admire the paintings of their ancestors and other relatives.
Meanwhile, the king doesn’t have a portrait of himself. This is because the king wasn’t so sure of how the portrait would look because of his physical disabilities. Because of this, the King then called all the best artists from his kingdom and beyond to his palace.
The king told the artist that he would like to have a painting of himself to display in his palace. He then stated that any artist who is able to create a stunning painting of the king should present himself. The king then promised to reward the artist based on the result of his artwork.
All the artists discovered that the king had just a single leg and a single eye. They wondered how they would be able to create a stunning image of the physically challenged king. Several painters thought that it was impossible to create a stunning painting of the king.
The artists were also worried that if they did not create stunning paintings, the king would execute them. Due to this fear, the artist started making excuses to respectfully decline to paint the king’s paintings. However, one of the painters agreed to paint the king’s portrait.
The artist told the king that he would paint a stunning painting that the king would admire. The king then granted him permission to paint the portrait. After a couple of months, the artist announced to the king that he had completed the portrait.
Once the painting was completed, the king announced it to all his subjects. When it was time for the painting to be revealed, everyone was present in the palace, including the ladies and lords, other artist and they people of the kingdom.
They were all anxious to see how the painting turned out, and they wondered how the artist could paint the king’s portrait in a stunning way despite the king’s physical disabilities. When they revealed the painting, it stunned everyone, including the king, with its magnificence.
The artist painted the king as an emperor seated on a mighty horse with his legs on both sides of the horse while he used his hand to clutch his crossbow and pointed the arrows while one of his eyes was shut.The king was more than happy with this painting.
The king was happy because somehow the artist had managed to create a wonderful portrait by hiding all his physical disabilities. He then rewarded the artist with a hefty price.
