The story of the noble monkey is a classic children’s story. It starts in the forest with a group of monkeys who live together and even have a king who rules them. The king is powerful and rules the monkeys with wisdom, and they all live in peace.
The monkeys found a mango tree one day, which was something new to them. The tree was growing right next to the river and it produced large and delicious mangoes. The king of the monkeys gave an instruction to the monkeys that they shouldn’t let any mango fall into the river.
He warned them that if they allowed any mango to fall into the river, the mango would be gone. The king of the monkeys told them that if they allowed the mango to fall into the river then the river would take the mangoes to the human land.
Once the humans know of the mangoes and where they came from, then the monkeys are no longer safe. The king of the monkeys told the rest of the monkeys that when the humans came, they would destroy them to have all the mangoes.
Because of the warning, the monkeys were extra careful about the mangoes. They made sure that no mangoes fell into the river. One day, while the monkeys were paying attention, one big ripe mango fell into the river.
The river took the mango across the creek and it landed on the other side of the river. The royal washerman happened to see the mango while he was doing laundry and he took it. He then cleaned the mango with a cloth.
The mango appeared juicy and so the washerman decided to present it to the king. He then proceeded to the palace and gave the monarch the luscious, juicy mango. The man told the king that he found the mango on the river bank while he was washing clothes.
After receiving the mango, the king ate the mango and he loved it. The king had never had such a delicious mango like the one he had. He wished he had more mangoes like this one and so he ordered his men to get the mangoes.
The king described where the washerman saw the mango at the river bank in the jungle. So, the king ordered his men to trace where the mango was coming from. The king and his soldiers went to the river bank and they took their boat to trace the mango and finally, they saw the mango tree.
In the meantime, the monkeys hurried to visit the monkey king to inform him about the men they observed approaching them in a boat. The monkeys told the king that they had to leave their orchard now. And so, everyone went to the other side of the river.
Among the monkeys, the king was the only one left in the orchard. He told them all to leave the orchard and he would join them later. Once the king of the monkey was sure that all the monkeys were on the other side of the river, he would go on to meet them.
The king of the monkey was about to cross to the other side with the vine, however the vine was too weak. As he was about to cross, the king fell into the water. All the other monkeys cried and they shouted for help.
As all this was happening, the king saw this and he admired how the king of the monkey took all his subjects to safety before crossing the river. When the king saw what happened, he sent his soldiers to save the monkey.
The king addressed how he was impressed with the monkey. He even invited the monkey to come and spend some time with him in the palace. However, the monkey turned down the offer and he told the king that he couldn’t leave the other monkeys.
The human king was impressed with the monkey and he promised him that he wasn’t going to harm the other monkey. However, he would only come by to pick a few mangoes and he wouldn’t harm any of them. The king of the monkey thanked him for saving his life. He also presented a few mangoes to the king as a token of appreciation.
