The tortoise and the hare were getting closer as he moved at a steady, sluggish pace. As the race continued, the hare was getting tired. He then decided to take a short break because he believed that even if he stopped running for a while, he would still be able to win the race. After all, the tortoise was slow.

However, the hare made a mistake but underestimating the tortoise. While the hare was getting tired, the tortoise was just getting started. He had saved up his energy and was now ahead of the hare. While the hare was about to faint with no energy left in him, he decided to rest at a nearby patch and take a short nap.

However, instead of a short nap, he fell asleep. The turtle carried on with the race while he slept. He was moving slowly and steadily until he was closer to the finish line.
