Everyone in the village would go to the man to help them wash their clothes. He washerman was very skilled at what he did. There wasn’t any stain in a cloth that he couldn’t get rid of. The man would go to the doorstep of every house in the village to take their dirty clothes.
The washerman would use his donkey to carry all the dirty clothes he had collected from the villagers. After cleaning, the man would use the same donkey to return all the clothes to the villagers. Each time the man returned the clothes to the villagers, the donkey would be tired.
After carrying the clothes back and forth, the donkey would be tired. Meanwhile, the washerman also had a horse and the horse was very beautiful. The horse was proud of its beauty and because of it, the horse thought that he shouldn’t have to do any work.
The washerman would visit the market and he would also travel far places while he rode on the back of the horse. One fine morning, the washerman planned to visit the village to deliver the clothes he had washed for the villagers.
The washerman put all the bundles of clothes on the donkey’s back while the horse carried no load. The man made the donkey bear all the load and this was quite unbearable for the poor donkey. However, the poor donkey didn’t complain and he kept on carrying the load.
While they were going to the village, the donkey stopped on the way and he asked the horse for help.The tired donkey thought of asking the horse for help with the heavy load he carried. He asked the horse to help him to carry some of the load.
The horse turned down the donkey and told him that horses don’t carry heavy loads. Instead, they carry only humans.. He told the donkey that his job was to carry the master to the market and not heavy loads.

Seeing this, the washerman felt guilty and he thought to himself that he should have divided the clothes for both the donkey and the horse to carry. Once the man realized his mistake, the man gave all the bundles of clothes for the horse to carry alone.
After the team transferred the load to the horse, the donkey was able to relax and walk freely. Then the horse knew that if he had split the clothes like the donkey suggested earlier, then he wouldn’t have to bear the burden alone.
