The Wolf and the Fox

The story of the wolf and the fox starts in the forest. Both the fox and the wolf were great friends. However, the fox wants an independent animal. He relied heavily on his friend, the wolf and he rarely helped out with anything.

The Wolf and the Fox

It was the fox that followed the wolf whenever he went hunting. He would let the wolf do the hunting so that he would then take half of whatever the wolf found. The fox would tag along with the wolf every time and he would eat for free without contributing any work.

After a while, the wolf found out that his friend, the fox was only fooling him all this time. Because of this, each time that the wolf went hunting, he wouldn’t inform his friend. He knew that the fox wasn’t a reliable friend and thought to himself that he was going to avoid him.

He knew that the nature of a fox was deceiving so it was best for him to stay away from the fox. Soon after, it was winter. The wolf would go hunting so that he could store food for the winter. He thought to himself that once it was winter, all the animals would remain inside. So it is best for him to get as much food as he can or else he would starve.

Soon after, the wolf would go hinting all by himself and he would store as much food as he can. He worked hard to hunt the animals. Meanwhile, his friend the fox did nothing. He thought that the wolf would let him tag along while he went on a hunt.

The fox thought to himself that he would let the wolf go hunting and catch all the animals. This would only make it easier for him to get food for the winter, Although, he was only taking advantage of his friends, he felt guilty about it.

After a while, the fox noticed that his friend hadn’t called him to go hunting, so he went to look for his friend. He went into the wolf’s cave to search for him, but he realized that it was wrong for him to just go into the cave to ask why the wolf hadn’t called him to go on a hunt.

So, the fox decided to act with sense and pretended to be concerned about the wolf’s well-being. He went into the cave and told him that it had been a long he saw him. As he asked the wolf about his well-being, he looked inside the cave.

Inside the cave, the fox could tell that the wolf had gone hunting without him because he saw a huge pile of meat. The wolf pretended to be sick and told his friend that once he got better, he would inform him and they would all go hunting.

The fox wished the wolf good health and then went back to his home. Once he left, the wolf was grateful that he went and said that he didn’t want to be friends with a selfish animal. The fox thought to himself how he was going to take revenge on the wolf for not including him in his hunt.

The fox promises that the wolf will pay for his actions. He then proceeded to meet the shepherd and led him to the lair of the wolf. The shepherd’s sheep had been murdered by the wolf on multiple occasions. This made the man angry that his beating killed the wolf.

After killing the wolf, the man took his fur. Seeing all this, the fox was delighted. He thought to himself that this was what the wolf deserved for leaving him behind. While he was busy mocking his friend, a hunter saw him and shot him. The hunter took his fur and thought that he would make good money from it.
